We definitely don't condone brainwashing.

We instill values of love and tolerance in our children.

  1. I agree with Richard Dawkins stance on things. No child should be labeled a "christian child" they have no sense of these things. They just believe whatever the parents tell them. Through no fault of their own do they follow their parents footsteps. It's truly sad that a child in the average christian home doesn't have the choice in what he or she will believe in or not believe in. And when they do grow up and revoke their belief because of the realization of facts they are outcast by their family as a whole. Sometimes slyly but nonetheless outcast.

Scaring them with mental images of hell and fire burning them alive forever and ever. That's verbal & psychological abuse if you ask me.

  3. This is just a little more intense than the same kinds of people we've grown up around our entire lives. How many times did I get told I was going to hell in high school for being friends with a gay guy? We got hate mail from people telling us we'd burn in hell with all our "kind" in san francisco. I got called "dyke" for being different and shunned. Even now, I can't walk into a store without someone staring at me funny or a clerk acting like I'm going to shoplift. It's not like I'm wearing clothes that say "i gave osama a bj the night before he died..."

And all because of this exact kind of intolerance...it's fucking disgusting.

  4. Let's be clear. These images are pictures of members from the Westboro Baptist Church, an isolated and EXTREME group of idiots that in no way represent the views or ideals of 99.9% of churchgoers. In my 49 years on this planet, I've NEVER met anyone who would come close to this kind of reprehensible behavior. These parents/members should all be deported. And I wish we could somehow rescue these poor children from this insanity. Nauseating.
