Americans: What Do We Really Look Like?

What is reality when every print image in magazines, newspapers,
billboards, and websites is retouched to perfection?

And when the advertisers even use the process to sell their products

It's no wonder that even pre-teens are altering their pictures when
creating their online "persona". They are just doing what they a
shown.

Gary Johnson: The voice most american's won't listen to... Or rather won't have the chance to.

Despite being left out of the chance to participate in the June 13th Republican presidential primary debate, Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson displayed a modest reply on youtube to such a smug move by the opposition to honesty, intelligence, and rational thinking.  Here is his answer to the questions faced at the debate.

With the debate out of the way here is what Gov. Johnson said during an airing of an episode of "Stossel" on Fox Business.

Now if you'd actually listen to what this man says America you'd realize that he is the only candidate that is fighting towards making this country better and not just to fill his own pockets.  Go  here to learn more about Gary Johnson's track record and the great things he has done for the state of New Mexico and the great things he can do for this great nation as a whole.

America fights for what's right.

Why would you want to fight and defend these people in office if history shows that they have no idea what the fuck they are doing?  Our military isn't fighting to defend america from any real threat, it's fighting a glass war that we should all be able to see right through.  But the majority chooses not to.  A great man once said we have nothing to fear but fear itself.  Why didn't we listen?

1950:  U.S. enters Korean War.  By the time the war ends 1.5 - 3 million civilians from both north and south korea are dead.

1953:   U.S. overthrows Mossadeq Prime Minister of Iran ( who wasn't a bad guy ) and installs Shah as dictator.

Removed out of British and American greed for foreign oil.  Thanks Ike.

"From an aristocratic background, Mosaddegh was an author, administrator, lawyer, prominent parliamentarian, and politician. During his time as prime minister, a wide range of progressive social reforms were carried out. Unemployment compensation was introduced, factory owners were ordered to pay benefits to sick and injured workers, and peasants were freed from forced labor in their landlords' estates. Twenty percent of the money landlords received in rent was placed in a fund to pay for development projects such as public baths, rural housing, and pest control."

( Quoted from wikipedia article )

1954: U.S. overthrows democratically elected president Arbenz of Guatemala.  200,000 civilians were killed as a result of the dictatorship put into the power by the United States of America, home of the "brave".

1963:  U.S. backs assassination of South Vietnamese President Diem.

1963-1975:  American military kills 4 million people in southeast Asia.

September 11th, 1973:  U.S. Stages coupe in Chile.  Democratically-elected President Salvador Allende is assassinated.  Dictator Augusto Pinochet installed.  5,000 Chileans were murdered as a result of this dictatorship.

( Excerpt from wikipedia on Allende )

"Upon assuming power, Allende began to carry out his platform of implementing a socialist program called La vía chilena al socialismo ("the Chilean Path to Socialism"). This included nationalization of large-scale industries (notably copper mining and banking), and government administration of the health care system, educational system (with the help of an American educator, Jane A. Hobson-Gonzalez from Kokomo, Indiana), a program of free milk for children in the schools and shanty towns of Chile, and an expansion of the land seizure and redistribution already begun under his predecessor Eduardo Frei Montalva, who had nationalized between one-fifth and one-quarter of all the properties listed for takeover. The Allende government's intention was to seize all holdings of more than eighty irrigated hectares. Allende also intended to improve the socio-economic welfare of Chile's poorest citizens;[citation needed] a key element was to provide employment, either in the new nationalised enterprises or on public work projects."

( excerpt of U.S. Response )

( Augusto Pinochet )

"The possibility of Allende winning Chile's 1970 election was deemed a disaster by a US government who wanted to protect US business interests and prevent any spread of communism during the Cold War. In September 1970, President Nixon informed the CIA that an Allende government in Chile would not be acceptable and authorized $10 million to stop Allende from coming to power or unseat him.  The CIA's plans to impede Allende's investiture as President of Chile were known as "Track I" and "Track II"Track I sought to prevent Allende from assuming power via so-called "parliamentary trickery", while under the Track II initiative, the CIA tried to convince key Chilean military officers to carry out a coup."

( quoted from wikipedia )

1977:  U.S. backs military rulers of El Salvador.  70,000 Salvadorans and four american nuns were killed as a result.

1980's:  U.S. trains Osama bin Laden and fellow terrorists to kill soviets.  The CIA gave them around $3 to 20 billion in finances.

1981:  Reagan administration trains and funds "contras."  30,000 Nicaraguans die.

( Great job Ronnie )

In front of the International Court of Justice, Nicaragua claimed that the contras altogether were a creation of the U.S. This claim was rejected. The evidence of a very close relationship between the contras and the U.S. was overwhelming and incontrovertible, though. The U.S. played a very large role in financing, training, arming, and advising the contras over a long period, and the contras only became capable of carrying out significant military operations as a result of this support.

( quoted from wikipedia )

( A few things that the "contras" carried out with our $24 million funding )

  • Targeting health care clinincs and health care workers for assassination.
  • Kidnapping civilians
  • Torturing civilians
  • Executing civilians, including children, who were captured in combat
  • raping women
  • indiscriminately attacking civilians and civilian houses
  • seizing civilian property
  • burning civilian houses in captured towns

1982:  U.S. provides billions in aid to Saddam Hussein for weapons to kill Iranians.

1983:  White House secretly gives Iran weapons to kill Iraqis.

( Smart politics )

1989:  CIA agent Manuel Noriega ( also serving as President of Panama ) disobeys orders from Washington.

The U.S. invaded Panama and removed Noriega.  With only 3,000 Panamanian civilian casualties.

1990:  Iraq invades Kuwait with weapons from the U.S.

1991:  U.S. enters Iraq and President Bush reinstated the dictator of Kuwait.

1993:  U.S. enters Battle of Mogadishu a battle in which Osama bin Laden affirmed that fighters affiliated with his group were among the men killing U.S. Soldiers.

Between civilians and militia men 1,000 to 3,000 Somalians were killed.  19 American soldiers were killed and 73 more were wounded.

1998:  Clinton bombs "weapons factory" in Sudan.
The factory turned out to be making aspirin.

1991 to present:  American planes bomb Iraq on a weekly basis.

The UN estimates 500,000 Iraqi children have died from bombing and sanctions.

2000-2001:  U.S. gives Taliban-ruled Afghanistan $245 million in "aid."

September 11, 2001:  Osama bin Laden uses his expert CIA training to murder 3,000 people.

What is it going to take for the American people to realize that the government isn't looking out for our best interests?  Instead they fund and provide so much death and destruction under the guise of fear and propaganda through mainstream media.

Thanks for the help J.

Plan Columbia: Destroying Columbia to Cure Americans of Addiction

The United States remains committed to helping Colombia improve the rule of law and prevent drugs from reaching the United States through strong interdiction, eradication, and alternative development programs.

As if we didn't waste enough money as it is fighting substances which will always find a way to prevail....

Columbia has seen its fair share of politcal bullshit. For the last several decades, leftist guerilla groups have fought against the government and right wing paramilitary groups have fought guerilla armies. And everyone else gets caught between the groups often ending with civilian deaths.

This is where Plan Columbia comes in.

Supposedly, this was an initiative to end or reduce armed conflicts. Basically, the United States offered some military support to the Columbian government if we could spend a lot of money and effort fighting our cocaine issues at the source while we were at it. It was signed in by Clinton at the request of the Columbian government who would foot 65% of the bill. That still left us paying out over a billion in aid to help end Columbian strife. If that isn't bad enough....humanitarian aid failed to ever really be our main focus especially once Bush took over as President.

One of the ways we have spent the billions of dollars poured into it (and thank you George W for expanding the plan and pushing an additional 676 million into it in 2001 alone) is defoliation of coca fields--destruction of the crops which would eventually be snorted up a lot of noses.

Plane Spraying Crops in Columbia

But...

Coca crops are not the only ones we've destroyed. The fumigation of Columbia has cost vital, legitimate crops of rural farmers as well as sickness in those who have come into contact with the herbicides used. It's a disaster.

Bill Maher had this to say about Plan Columbia in his 2002 book When you ride ALONE you ride with bin Laden: What the Government SHOULD Be Telling Us to Help Fight the War on Terrorism

"...it's a scheme to address our mammoth coke jones by defoliating the coa fields of Columbia. We love coke, so you get agent-oranged--sound fair? U.S. planes have thus far showered defolliant on more than 200,000 acres, killing not just coca plants but entire ecosystems: damaging legitimate crops, poisoning water supplies, killing fish and livestock, uprooting entire villages, and causing people to suffer fevers, diarrhea, allergies, and rashes...

By the way--not that you probably couldn't have guessed this about a government plan--it doesn't work. When a coca field is successfully sprayed, of course the farmers simply move their operation to another valley, like a Whack-a-Mole game...

But hey, it's got to be done, because some of the plants that grow in the southern hemisphere are just plain evil. We know that because they're not stamped with labels like Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Eli Lilly, or Pfizer. And it's vital that we understand that these souther hemisphere plants and their cultivation are to blame because the alternative is to believe that our national appetite for drugs is our own problem. And that's just crazy talk.

Like any addict, when it comes to the Drug War, the United States is in full denial. What our posturing, moralizing leadership pretends they don't know is that if it wasn't Columbian cocaine, it'd be Bolivian cocaine, and if it wasn't that it'd be homemade methadone or a forty or glue or stolen pills or pot or ecstasy. It'd be something, because the mind is a terrible place to be stuck sober. The Department of Stopping Fun can show me all the statistics in the world about how usage of a certain drug has dropped off, but what they never tell you is it's because people found something else. They always will."

It's like the bad guys in Captain Planet won this round and to make it worse, they're all narcotics agents.

It's What's On The Inside That Counts

I found this on a website called "Daily Yummo" which is dedicated to posting pictures of men the blog owner finds attractive...

Pretty fucking classy...

What are we trying to say? That it's cool to be a sexual offender just so long as you are "hot?" This is certainly admirable. Bring on the date rapers and the rapists....if they give me "lady wood!!!"

We possess the best of intentions

There's nothing really snarky I can say about this one. It's just so incredibly fucked up to think there are people who receive the death penalty in Texas for murdering other prisoners in that violence breeds more violence environment. Yet, this kid rapes and murders a woman, stuffs her body behind a wall just days before her wedding, and he will return to society after being royally fucked up in prison or fucked in prison for 44 years. It doesn't seem sensible. At all.

But there's more.

There are prisons full of drug offenders doing more time for selling pot than this guy is doing for rape and murder.

I just don't get it. This is why this country makes me cry.

All Americans Must Be Mathematicians

That's why we don't fall for ridiculous gimmicks like lotteries...

oh.
wait..

Americans spent $58 billion on lottery tickets last year.

Meanwhile there are 3.5 million people in America who are homeless in any given year. That means we could give each homeless person a MILLION dollars to get their shit straight and still have billions of dollars left over to help with poverty, unemployment, cancer research, retirement funding, etc.

The sad part? Those with the lowest incomes waste more money on the "big dream".... For example, in Georgia, those who make less than $25, 000 annually spend 3 times as much on lottery tickets as those who make $75,000 or more a year.

Even sadder are the odds of winning which apparently has no effect at all whatsoever on the amount of money spent...

There is roughly a 1 in 54 million chance of winning the lottery.

There is also:
  • a 1 in 3 million chance of freezing to death
  • a 1 in 86,000 chance of death by poisoning
  • a 1 in 2 million chance of being struck by lightening
  • a 1 in 150,000 chance of being killed by a dog
  • a 1 in 1 million chance of dying in the tub
  • a 1 in 58,000 chance of death by LEGAL EXECUTION
Americans are:
  • 5 times more likely to be eaten by a shark
  • 100 times more likely to be killed by an asteroid impact. (no, i'm not kidding).
  • 540 times more likely to die by a venomous bite or sting
  • 900 times more likely to die in a tornado

Michele Bachmann is in the runnings...

According to the Huffington Post, Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has just got the go ahead from god himself to run for the Presidency.  Even more believable are the large amounts of funds coming from a lot of unnamed churches.  If what this lady says is true and she did get a message from god, we ought to think twice before electing her as a president, seeing as the last lady to hear gods word and get orders from him killed two of her three sons.

Let's let god run this country.
